WedPlans was founded by a couple planning their wedding in 2018. In the age of modern technology and on demand services, they found the process of planning very backdated, slow and extremely stressful. They said to themselves: “There must be a better way of doing this” thus began WedPlans.
The vision behind WedPlans is to make wedding planning less stressful. WedPlans wants to make the process of getting married an enjoyable event and make planning simple so that the couples spend more time on the more important things.
When planning their wedding, they found finding suppliers and contacting them a very time consuming process. In most cases they would contact suppliers through recommendations or if they were following them already on social media. They would not know what days the suppliers were available and what their pricing structures were like. This made planning and budgeting extremely difficult.
WedPlans initially launched in 2020 as a supplier directory to bring all of the suppliers in one platform. It has allowed 100s of suppliers to bring better exposure to their services, with clever techniques of search engine optimisation - it has allowed small businesses to increase their footprint on major search engines such as Google. Their next phase will improve communication between couples and suppliers as well as better integrations with social media accounts to give a professional portfolio platform to suppliers.
